THREE SISTERS GARDEN PROJECT

A new Ipswich CSA with a mission to educate and provide fresh produce for community food programs-- Although the CSA is at Cuvilly and associated with the Sisters of Notre Dame, the CSA is also in partnership with local colleges,  Accord Food Pantry, Open Door Food Pantry, Ipswich Sustainable Education, Ipswich Schools, The Trustees of the Reservation, Ipswich Farmers Market/Agriculture Commission. The name, Three Sisters is a metaphor for cooperation and sustainability-- native people cultivated the three sisters: nitrogen-fixing CORN, weed-keeping-out leaves that also keep moisture in of SQUASH, and climbing BEANS that grow on the cornstalks. THREE SISTERS is nearing its fundraising goal but still needs your support. To donate and learn more, go to www.threesistersgarden.org
